Also present were members from Ashburton & Buckfastleigh, Berkhamsted, Bromley-Bixley, Ely, Epping, Slingsby, Tower Hamlets, Westminster West and Montereau-fault-Yonne (south east of Paris).

During a memorable evening President Judith presented cheques to the Westminster Children’s Society, RNIB Talking Books Service and Vision Aid Overseas. Also the Churchill Gardens School, Pimlico were presented with "Dictionaries". The other highlight of the evening was a humorous and entertaining talk by TV presenter & broadcaster, Bill Hamilton, bringing “good news – bad news: the experiences of a BBC Correspondent.

The pictures show President Judith receiving a certificate from Ian Turner of the RNIB Talking Books Service acknowledging Westminster East's sponsorship of a talking book; presenting spectables collected by members of Westminster East Rotary Club and Chelsea and Westminster Inner Wheel, along with a cheque to Jeremy Jalie from Vision Aid Overseas. The group photos show that a good time was had by all as Westminster East members and their guests enjoyed a superb evening at their usual venue, the Charing Cross Hotel, with an excellent meal and first class service.
