Rotary club of Westminster East Alexandra Rose Day Collection for The SamaritansOn 17 June 2009 the Rotary club of Westminster East will be taking part in the Alexandra Rose Day national collection.The Alexandra Rose Day organisation uses its national profile to support more than 250 charities, many of them very small and local. The Alexandra Rose Day collection is in June, yet they operate throughout the year helping charities in a variety of ways.
For more information about Alexandra Rose Day please visit their website www.alexandrarosecharities.org.uk Rotarians will be collecting for the Samaritans, who provide confidential non-judgemental emotional support 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.For more information about the Samaritans please visit their website www.samaritans.org The Rotary Club of Westminster East was established in 1948 and has a proud tradition of assisting local, national and international charities. The club meets at the Charing Cross Hotel on Thursday evenings at 18:30. Guests and those interested in Rotary are always welcome.
