Hello my name is Genevieve Nicoll, I’m an Australian and sponsored by the Rotary club of Kenmore in Brisbane Australia, I participated in the Rotary International exchange program in 2004/05, spending 10 months hosted by the Rotary Club of Eu in Normandy, France.
 
I am currently working with the Queensland Government, Australia in their London office. I’m managing a research project, on behalf of our manufacturing industries, to identify the lighting design decisions made by UK businesses.
 
The aim of the project is to identify what influences design professionals' decisions on lighting products/styles for commercial projects. The project is broken into 2 key phases:

1. liaise with design professionals (architects, interior designers, lighting designers and electrical engineers) to identify their decision process and influencers. 
2. approach project managers in the hospitality and retail sectors to determine if they use in-house or external designers. Liaise with the newly identified designers to identify their decision process and influencers.

 
I am currently calling design professional firms but it is often difficult to talk to the right person. I would appreciate making contact with anyone in the design professional field or project managers in hospitality and retail sectors.
